International Shipping

At Roughhouse Skates all of our prices are in Canadian Dollars.  As an international customer we simply covert the Canadian price to your currency using the Universal Currency Converter. When purchasing please consider shipping costs and applicable state or government taxes from your country as they will automatically be added to your purchase price.

 

Shipping Options

Roughhouse Skates by default ships Canada Post Regular Parcel Surface. This is the most inexpensive shipping method and is added on automatically when ordering.  If you would like a faster shipment method we are more than happy to find the fastest and best rate possible to ship. We ship UPS, FedEx, or Purolator or we can ship using a courier of your choice by simply e-mailing or calling us and we can give you an estimate.

 

Canada Post Regular Parcel Surface:

Roughhouse Skates by default ships Canada Post Regular Parcel Surface.  It is added on automatically when making an order.

 

Orders can take between 1- 2 business days to process.  Shipping can take anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks for international shipments from the time it leaves the warehouse. Shipping time is based on business days (excluding weekends and holidays) some orders may ship faster than others.

 

Shipping rates are based on weight.

When choosing Canada Post as your carrier, your package clears customs manually upon arrival in your country. This can delay delivery indefinitely if it gets quarantined by customs (up to more than a month or longer).  Alternatively, it can also be delivered very quickly. No live electronic tracking is available for Canada Post at this stage.

The risk of shipping Canada Post is that when items are lost in transit the claims may take up to A YEAR before it is approved. The customer is also responsible for all Duties, Taxes and/or VAT (Value Added Tax) imposed by their respective countries. These taxes are NOT included in the total invoice from Roughhouse Skates when shipping via Canada Post.

UPS, FedEx, Purolator or courier of your choice:

When a package is shipped via UPS, FedEx, Purolator (either Expedited or Express) duties are NOT included. You may be charged at the time of delivery by your respective country or "customs". The advantage of choosing UPS, FedEx or Purolator is the carrier electronically clears your package with customs within 2 hours of your package leaving Canada. Live tracking of your package on its journey to you is made available online.

 

The following is an example based on UPS Worldwide Expedited shipment from Canada to Sweden.  This is an example of approximate costs of shipping internationally but will vary depending on the country the shipment is going to.

Shipping Policy:

        

• All purchases exceeding $250.00 require Signature upon delivery. Additional fees may apply this is for the security for yourself and Roughhouse Skates.

• All purchases under $250.00 will not be shipped with a signature required for delivery or any extra Insurance unless specifically requested by the customer. Additional fees may apply.

• Incomplete or inaccurate shipping and/or billing information may result in delays to your order being processed.

•  We reserve the right to adjust shipping rates (with the customer's consent) when shipping to inaccessible rural locations.

•  Some items are drop shipped from our manufacturers or distributors, as a number of skating products are custom manufactured or built to order.

• We cannot be responsible for any delays caused by inclement weather, security checks, or any other situation that is beyond ours or the couriers’ control.

• Orders placed on a Friday, the weekend or on holidays may not be shipped until the next business day.

•  The customer is responsible for paying all shipping costs in all directions (including returned items) unless we make the mistake of shipping you a different item from which you ordered. If a shipping mistake occurs due to our negligence, we will issue a Return Label to get the incorrect item(s) back to us and then reship the correct item to you. No additional shipping cost falls on you, the customer.

• We will not refund you the shipping cost of the package if an item is missing or if your order is incomplete. In that case we will ship the missing item(s) to you immediately at no additional charge.

• Your packages may be subject to custom fees and import duties of the country to which you have your order shipped. Any customs or duty charges are always the responsibility of the recipient.

• Currently Roughhouse Skate is able to ship to most international addresses except for the following countries: Afghanistan, Angola, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, and Sudan.

•  When ordering, if you have special request to what company you would like to use to ship from please call, e-mail or make a note in box where it asks for Special Instructions.

•  We reserve the right to adjust shipping rates (with the customer's consent) when shipping to inaccessible rural locations.

·         Roughhouse Skates DOES NOT profit monetarily nor reap any other benefits from the taxes imposed on the customer by their respective government such as GST, VAT or brokerage fees.

• In the event of unforeseen circumstances and acts of God, resulting in shipping delays, monetary compensation will NOT be offered. 

Customs

You might be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied after a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be paid by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they might be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from Roughhouse Skates, you are considered the importer of record, and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods. Generally, customs forms for international packages will list the value of your order's contents by product type.

Your privacy is important to us, and we know that you care about how information about your order is used and shared. We would like our international customers and customers who ship products internationally to be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

Also, we may provide certain order, shipment, and product information, such as titles, to our international carriers, and such information may be communicated by the carriers to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance and comply with local laws.

If the order is a gift, the package is marked "Gift," but the cost of the item is still stated on the customs form. Customs authorities require us to state the value of the gift item directly on the package.
